About Celia

I'm Celia, a Resident in Counseling in Virginia who works primarily with teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, grief, burnout, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what's going on, feel understood, and explore difficult things without judgment.

My approach draws from:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Solution-Focused, Narrative & Humanistic approaches

My style is warm, conversational, and collaborative. Therapy with me has direction without feeling rigid we might work on practical skills, explore patterns that keep showing up, or slow down and process experiences from your past that continue to affect you today. I'll ask questions, offer different perspectives, and gently challenge you when it may be helpful, while always leaving room for you to move at your own pace.

I also believe there's room for humor in therapy. The things we work through can be difficult, but every moment doesn't have to feel heavy. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, feel more equipped to handle what life brings, and make choices that feel aligned with the life you want to build.

You don't need to know exactly where to start. Sometimes figuring out what's going on—and what you need is part of the work.
